Long Day!
It has been awhile since my last post...I feel like I say that every post, and yet it is always true. haha! I didn't blog about Thanksgiving and all our time with family. I didn't blog about the massive ice storm we had here either. The ice storm caused mass chaos throughout the state. We had 650,000 people without power...which is a ridiculous amount of people. I also didn't blog about taking care of a farm as a favor to a family member during the same time as the ice storm. We had to take care of two horses, some cattle, and two dogs. I definitely had some new experiences during that time, being a city boy and all.
Today, we had to get up and head to Choctaw for Liz's family Christmas party. All her aunts, uncles, and cousins get together this time of year to celebrate and eat some grub. The food was good, and it is always fun getting together with her family....some of them are SO FUNNY!!
After the party, we had to take Addy to her first gymnastic meet. For those that didn't know, she has been taking gymnastics at Bart Connors for about 3-4 months. She was SO excited....she got her first trophy!!! It didn't matter that everyone got a trophy...all that mattered was the one she got! When we take her, it is so difficult to see anything because you pretty much stay in the lobby looking through a glass window. For the meet, they let family in there for the show. We got to see everything they had been working on up close. Addy and all the other kids did so well...I thought it was so neat.
After gymastics, we squeezed in some of the lovely Christmas shopping! We went to Walmart, the mall, and Mardels....we ate dinner somewhere in there. The shopping part was CRAZY!!!! There were SO many people...I had to wait in line at a store (here at the Norman mall) to pay for about 30 minutes. Just to find stuff in there was horrible with SO many people in a small place.
We just got home...we are ready for bed. So I'm gonna stop right here. Just thought I would post something....I know all of you have been waiting patiently for a post. I can't keep the millions of you that are interested waiting any longer. PEACE!!!
